The Big Trip (Part 5)
OLD TOWN ALBUQUERQUE
After our "awesome" camping spot in Nageezi, we headed to Albuquerque. Coming into the city, it looked like Phoenix... lots of newer tract houses way out in the desert.
Old Town Albuquerque was really fun. We had a picnic lunch on the grass in the town square, walked around and looked at the shops, visited the RATTLESNAKE MUSEUM and saw a video of a cobra eating an antelope (won't eat again for one year!) and enjoyed a snow cone. Albuquerque is more than 300 years old!
This old cannon was a hit with the boys! They each posed individually for several shots on it... but here is a group photo.
We drove to the Albuquerque Temple for a quick visit. It is really beautiful! The grounds were very nice, of course, and the flowers were gorgeous! It is neat to see all the different temples. What a blessing to have them closer to so many people!

We've got to be getting closer to Philmont soon right? Love the photos. Keep 'em coming.
Just head on over to the local feed barn and ask them what to dust your chickens with. They'll give you something good. I don't think the kind matters so long as you only dust the chickens with it and not feed it to the chickens. Oh yes... directions are a wonderful and most important part of the packaging! :) Good luck...
Beautiful temple!!!
i didn't even know albquerque had a temple, so pretty! wouldn't i be a great parent if i took my kids on tours around the western united states to see so many temples... but we just go to pinetop and san diego, every year. same old. but love it. (and now that i think of it there is a new temple in snowflake that we have never even taken them to and thats right on the way to pinetop, hmmm. your adventures look fun!
You guys are so cute!!! I was reading your other posts below too. Abby started walking at 15 1/2 months. She just turned 17 months. I am glad she is walking but she is making up for it. She is into everything. There are messes everywhere. I have to close all the doors in the house and that still doesnt help she finds something to get into. We have a mine here in Bisbee called the Queen Mine. It looks a lot like where you guys where with the yellow jackets. My kids couldn't stop talking about it for weeks.
