Wild Indians!

We got Peter Pan from Netflix last week. (yes, our boys hadn't ever seen it!) Caleb and Luke were not excited at all... they thought it was a girl movie. They loved it and watched 4 times in two days (Rain/Snow + Spring Break = extra movie time!) The next thing I know they are painting themselves with my lipstick and running around the house singing, "WHAT MADE THE RED MAN RED??? WHEN DID HE FIRST SAY HOW!!??" I was laughing so hard. Adam was chasing them around singing "We're following the leader, the leader, the leader..." Caleb even went out the chicken coop and found some feathers to put in his headband. It was pretty funny!

Easter 2009

I love Easter! Yes, it is fun to celebrate with the baskets, candy and coloring eggs... but I am truly thankful for the Jesus Christ and His resurrection. I know that through Him we will all be resurrected when we die... and have perfect bodies. (I'm thinking I'll be a nice, slim 5' 8'' in the next life! )

We had a delicious breakfast ... then the boys found their baskets and helped Anne find hers.

Of course Anne didn't know what was going on, but she loved the grass in her basket!

The boys got kites in their baskets... and went straight outside to fly them.

Pretty Girl!

After church we dyed eggs. Starting out with brown and greens eggs from our chickens, we were able to make some really pretty colorful and unique looking eggs!

Rubber-bands... an old family favorite for dying eggs.

Poor Anne was getting tired... but I was having too much fun dying eggs to take her up to her room, so she just fell asleep right on my lap!

Family Fun Day!

A couple of weeks ago Eric, Caleb and Luke sluffed school (thats Utah slang for ditching) and we had a family fun day! It was the day before my b-day, so that was a good excuse, right?! We went to the Draper Temple open house early in the morning. It was peaceful and beautiful! It was such a neat feeling being in the temple with all our kids. I made the comment to Eric: "I don't know when we'll all be in the temple again." He looked at me and said, "In June for the Oquirrh Mountain Temple open house". Smart aleck!

After the temple we went out for breakfast. (Hey, I got up at 6:00am that day!) They thought it was so cool to eat out and order pancakes! (you can see we don't get out much around here!) After Denny's we went to the Dinosaur Museum at Thanksgiving Point. It was nice to be there on a weekday... we had the place all to ourselves! The boys had a great time exploring and running around.

The boys played in the sand and water for nearly an hour building dams and moats around their islands. Eric was the tsunami that "tested" their building skills. He really is a kid at heart... and a great Dad that loves to play with his kids!

Yikes! The boys create a three-headed dinosaur!!

Sadly, right after I snappped this photo, Adam flipped backward and banged he head on the floor. Poor little guy! (Lesson for Mom: be more concerned about safety and less about photo op!)

Baby Anne wasn't feeling too well and mostly just slept in the stroller. Here is a shot of the little cutie awake!

Happy Birthday Baby Anne!

Wow! My baby girl is growing up! Where did this last year go?! Anne is such a good-natured, happy, cute, lovable, squeezable little baby--- we just eat her up all day long!

Some rib-ticklin' --- she just giggles. Love that face!

"What is THIS?!"

She was so funny.... didn't really want to get all dirty and dig in like my boys have done on their 1st birthdays. Here comes Adam to the rescue.... He'll make sure she gets some cake.

And some for him, of course! Happy Birthday Anne!

Fantastic First Graders!

Here is Luke at his 1st grade program. He was so excited to perform, it was really cute! Way to go, Lukey!
