Day #8 Knoxville, Tennessee
After the Corvette plant we headed to Shenandoah National Park. It was a long drive that day. Near the entrance of the Park is Knoxville, TN, where my family lived when I was about 4 years old. Our old house is only about five minutes off the freeway so we stopped to it. I knocked on the door and talked to the young couple that lives there now. The house looks good, although the neighborhood is different than my memory. I took a picture of the infamous treehouse where my sister, Alicia, fell out and broke her arm and collarbone. Someone in the last 30 years cut it down in size-- it's only about half as tall as it used to be-- big surprise! It was really high!
