Day #16 Gettysburg

We left our campground near DC and headed north through the beautiful countryside in Maryland where I served three months of my mission waiting for my visa. I would have loved to stop and knock some doors and find some old friends, but we didn't. We drove north into Pennsylvania and on to Gettysburg.

There is a big nice visitors center now at Gettysburg that wasn't there before.
We drove the tour and stopped and got out to see different battle monuments. It's amazing to think that 50,000 soldiers died in that battle of the Civil War!
